can I bring back foreign spices and stuff on international flight?

I'm in China at the moment and going home next week. I want to bring home some sealed spices, a sealed packet of sealed congealed oil (used for a type of chinese cousine called hotpot), and a bottle of the local alcohol (i'm over 21).

Will I be able to get any of this stuff through? It'll all be store sealed and I'm not bringing back any type of meat or anything.

Update:

forgot to mention it's a flight going to the US.

The alcohol should be alright providing it's commercially made, not homemade. According to US Customs and Border Protection, spices and oil will be OK providing these are packaged, but this could mean products in commercial, not shop, packaging. Just declare the items and see what happens.

You better check way ahead of time. You will draw a lot of attention at customs.
