how do you factor binomials?

6x^3+9x

X^2-16

Factor out GCF, then factor

16x^2-144

Can u help me? I don't understand how to do these.. I used to get the idea of it, totally forgot about it over Thanksgiving break. Please help me! Thank you!

    6x^3+9x = 3x(2x^2 + 3)

    X^2-16 = (x - 4)(x + 4)

    Factor out GCF, then factor

    16x^2-144 = 16(x^2 - 9) = 16(x - 3)(x + 3)
