    Well a lot depends on your likes or dislikes and what time of year you would like to go ? ...and do you like BIG cities or Small Towns/Villages...

    Rome ...Beautiful

    Venice ...Venizia beautiful

    Florence ...Firenze ...Beautiful Cultural city would be my choice

    Avoid coastal towns in summer

    be aware of price hikes in summer

    What's best for you really depends on your personalities and expectations. Popular places include Florence, Rome, Venice, the Amalfi Coast & Capri and Cinque Terre. There are lots of other places that could suit you like Verona, Bergamo, Polignano al Mare, Sardinia ... What kinds of things to you like?
