Not willingly nor consciously. Too many people benefit from them to do anything but help them do what they are already doing so well. So what if people call that corrupt. It is not corruption for the people who benefit. And as I see it, there are a lot of people out there doing nothing but complaining and tearing down the very thing that makes their lives so livable. But what the heck. We do have the tendency to destroy that which we love the most at times.
