Matt Kemp to the Red Sox?

While I thought Ethier would be the odd man out, there's been more Kemp rumors this offseason than anything else. Boston and LA have pulled off a megatrade before (which worked beautifully for both teams), and there's been rumblings recently that Boston is very interested in Kemp. Personally I think Boston is his most likely landing spot with Ellsbury gone now, but what would Kemp bring in return? I'm unfamiliar with Boston's prospects.

Kemp would actually be the perfect player to replace Ellsbury; he's missed quite a few games over the last two seasons.

A nice fit and a fresh start, Kemp would be a good move for the Red Sox if they could pull it off. Injuries are the only thing keeping Kemp from being the elite player his talent dictates.

I Why would the Red Sox want Matt Kemp? He's always injured and has what, 6 years $120 million left on his contract? Boston just proved that you don't need the big name free agent to win, why would they saddle themselves with such a horrible contract AND have to give up a bunch of their good prospects?

I'm perfectly fine with putting Jackie Bradley Jr in CF at less than 1/10th the cost.

@Robert I like the cut of your jib, sir.

Have not heard Kemp to Boston. Ethier most likely will be the one.

As a Red Sox fan, I would rather put Jackie Bradley Jr in CF and make a trade with KC for young relievers Collins and Crowe. I hear KC is willing to deal both to save $$$$. This would give Boston the best bullpen in the AL for 2014 and going forwad. You counter NY's moves by adding pitching and pitching. Pitching wins titles as does defense and clutch hitting.
