How is/was college/university for you?
I'm one of those millions heading off to study in a college/university setting next year.
I'm just wondering how the experience is/was for you?
Hopefully, you could tell me what program you are in and how life is at university.
Any tips/suggestions for first year?
Any other comments about your college/university life would be much appreciated/
Thanks a lot!

It's pretty good! I'm enjoying it! I'm doing a BA degree in New Zealand, so universities here may be different to those at your end.
Hectic at times if you don't manage your time well.
Many essays.
Sleepless nights.
Lots of freedom.
Junk food easily accessible.
You can come to lectures late and leave early without any hassle.
Lecturers don't give a rat's as$ if you hand in your assignments or not. Your loss if you hand it in late or not at all.
Annoying to find free study tables or computer spaces in some areas, especially around exam time.
Interesting lectures, though some obviously better than others.
You'll appreciate the various facilities you have there.
Hard to make friends outside your tutorials/smaller sessions unless you're an eager beaver and join committees or clubs.
Easy to be anonymous.
You'll always find a smart as$, unless of course, that's you.
You'll feel like a dumbas$ at times.
You'll hate the amount of reading they expect you to do but quickly learn to skim through it all before you go cray.
You'll miss it when you graduate, unless you plan on doing postgraduate study. So make sure you enjoy your time there.
Enjoy! May you be much enlightened by the world of tertiary education!
