  • Asperger's syndrome: What are symptoms and how do you diagnose it?

I'm composing a review of literature for my psychology course about symptoms and diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome. Could anyone help me find some information on this and or personal experience. Links and articles on the internet would be really helpful. Thanks!

  • In your opinion, what is something you're never too old to do?

I personally enjoy every single visit to Disneyland. I think that you can't be too old to visit and have fun there.

  • How would you describe your flirting?

What is your style of flirting and what do you do? Do you smile a lot, talk too much, make jokes, pay attention, act a bit cold and detached, play "hard-to-get", shy, blush, laugh too much, etc.

Basically, describe how you flirt with someone you are interested in.

  • Great songs for a duet/two-part harmony?

This girl asked me to do a duet with her sometime. She's a wonderful singer. She said she'd been wanting to do it for sometime, but never had the chance to ask. She complimented me on my singing, problem is that singing with her is making me a bit nervous. She asked me what I think we should sing.

What are some good duet/two-part harmony songs?

Not too high in range though, I'm playing it a bit safe so I can handle myself a bit better.

Hopefully, you could tell me what program you are in and how life is at university.

    Any tips/suggestions for first year?

Any other comments about your college/university life would be much appreciated.

    Thanks a lot!

  • Good title for a romantic short story?

I wrote a short story. Don't want to say too much, but it's about a boy and a girl (it usually is) who see each other every day, both infatuated with each other. Neither one knows that, either one wants to talk to the other, both unable to start a conversation.

I want to say more, but I don't want to give away too much.

Thanks a lot for the help!

    Cheers

  • Can you suggest 3 or 4 movies I should watch?

I'm looking for a few movies to occupy me during an 8 hour flight. I'm open to watching movies I've already seen, but I would like to know what movies you would suggest.

Preferably, you top 3 or 4 favorites.

    Thanks a lot! :)

  • What are your ways of dealing with a sprained ankle?

What are your ways of remedying a badly sprained ankle?

I've sprained my ankle many times before, sprained it again this morning on the ice. What is the best way to speed up the recovery of a swelling, numb ankle that has really kept me from walking too much?

Do you have any ways, techniques, creams, etc? (Preferably doable at home)

    Thanks a lot! :)

  • Your favorite adaptation of Dickens' A Christmas Carol?

There are many adaptations, like the one Alastair Sims, the cartoon ones, Jim Carrey, etc.

My favorite is a tie between the Sims and Patrick Stewart version. Great portrayal of Scrooge in both of them. Simply amazing.

    How about you?

  • Would it be strange if I asked a girl I don't talk to too often/at all to the prom?

Typically, people go to prom with friends. I want to ask this girl, but we don't really talk. I could ask my friends that are girls, but they are all in relationships (literally), they are all with dates. I feel like it would be fun hanging out with them, but I don't want to feel like a third wheel to any of my friends.

So if I asked a girl I barely know, will that be too forward?

Should I make a concerted effort to get to know her first?

  • Have you tried the enneagram, and if you did, what was your score?

We had to take an enneagram test in Philosophy.

It's like a personality test, that involves an enneagram connecting differing "types" of people, with descriptions of specific traits.

    I scored a tie in Type 6 and 9.

If you did take it, what were you?

If you are interested in finding out yours, you can check out this link:

    http://www.9types.com/newtest/index.php

You can skip questions 37 to 44 if you like. It's just an anonymous survey for statistics.

  • How to take rejection?

I'm planning on asking a girl to prom. I've never asked a girl on a date before, let alone prom. That doesn't really bother me though. I'm a pretty confident person, but I was wondering how to react when I am rejected. I don't want to say something stupid like "That's cool" or just "OK, no problem!"

How would a girl reject me?

How do I react and what do I say if I get rejected?

If I get rejected, will it be awkward between me and her?

    Thanks for all the help!

  • For the holidays, do you like sun or snow?

Where I live, it just started snowing. We've had a good couple of inches. I'm vacationing to Southern California (San Diego-Los Angeles) for the holidays and lived there for a few years before. Winter was great, just mild and with a cool breeze, obviously no snow.

I like winters in Canada but I like mostly the idea of snow and a "white Christmas", not really sub-zero temperatures.

So I wanna ask you, would you rather have a snowy, cold or sunny, mild holiday season?

  • Why do girls like tall boys?

I just think it's very interesting how height plays such a huge role in attraction of women towards men. I was talking with two female friends and they said "If a guy isn't at least six feet tall, I wouldn't even look twice." (good thing I'm a bit taller than 6 feet) I feel like that is unfair for people who are "too short" for typical female standards.

For guys, what is your take on this?

For girls, what is the absolute shortest height you would consider and why is height important to you (if it even is)?

  • Opinions: do you believe there is "the one" for you?

I want to know what other thought about having that special someone, specifically just one person? Or is there no such thing? Just gathering opinions.

  • Does fate exist? Or is life a bunch of random events determined by an individual?

My stance on this is a bit complicated.

I think that there is fate and destiny only up to a certain point. Then, infinite possibilities are mostly what life is made of. For example, a person (Gandhi as a random example) may be destined to lead a revolution against the British commonwealth in India but how he does it is up to him, so it's not fixed. For the romantics, the one you're meant to be with does exist and that love will prevail but what happens in between is completely random.

If that confused you, I apologize but that is how I feel about this topic.

I was wondering what you all think? Do you believe in fate/destiny or infinite possibilities?
