Should the rights of both these people be equal before the law?

    Certainly if tax dollars were used to celebrate a holy day that only one of them observed, that would be outrageous religious discrimination!

    That scripture seems to be referring to more than two people. So if you include the person that stated that scripture, then one is talking about at least four different people.

    Yes, all four or more of them should have the right to believe what they want. However, none of them should have the right to force their beliefs on other persons.
