I have never played a Legend of Zelda game before, but I want to try. What is a good game to start off with?
Preferably a game on the 3DS, because I have one of those.

Well a couple of good games to start off with are The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass, The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks and Ocarina of Time 3D. Either three of these are great games but Ocarina of Time 3D is a better choice out of the ones that I have listed.

Ocarina of Time is a great place to start, and it's available for the 3DS as a remake (the original was released for the N64 in 1998. It's the same game - the remake just improves the graphics and a few gameplay mechanics). The game is regarded by many as the best Zelda game, and is a classic. It's the game that got many fans into the series. Start there!

For a beginner to Zelda on the 3DS, I would recommend playing the remake of Ocarina of Time. OoT gives you a good understanding of Hyrule's rich history and introduces the mechanics of Zelda games very nicely.
After you're used to the mechanics, I'd go for the DS games (Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks) and then A Link Between Worlds. The latter is very puzzle-heavy, so I wouldn't do that one first.
If you have a Wii or a GameCube, you can get Twilight Princess as well. It's a bit dark, but it's a fantastic game.

Ocarina of Time 3D. It is a remaster of the original for the Nintendo 64. You can also try the newly released A Link Between Worlds. It is a remake of A Link to the Past. Both are for the 3DS.

one of the ds games is easiest, they are simple and enjoyable to an extent. so either legend ofzelda phantom hourglass or legend of zelda spirit tracks. you may want to try Ocarina of Time after those two, and if you have a wii and a wiimotion plus accessory for the wii remote, skyward sword is simple enough. twillight princessis great too, and you just need a wii and a wii remote and numchuck or nunchuck or whatever the heck that attachment is called. you also need that nunchuck attaxhment for skyward sword. the ds games require a stylus, so hopefully you havnt lost it.

Ocarina of Time 3D
It is a graphical enhanced version of the greatest game of all time, Ocarina of Time.
I think she is askinf for 3DS Zelda games, not DS.

Ocarina of time. The style they went for kind of ruined the original though. If you ever get a N64 pick up that and Majoras mask. Both are classics

I don't know about 3rd but on ds lite spirit tracks an the phantom hourglass are fun. I never brat them because my game glitches out though. Don't worry just don't use an action replay
