  • Do most Japanese Restaurants have carbs listed?

I'm a type 1 diabetic and am going to be traveling to Japan in a week. I've been to both Tokyo and Osaka before but can't remember if most restaurants had carbs listed for items ( Last time i visited i wasn't diabetic ). Or I'm guessing i'll just have to calculate an average carb amount per item.

  • Planning a 3 month trip to Japan for a Type 1 diabetic?

So the Japanese law states that you can only bring a 1 month supply or drugs or you'll need to acquire a yakkan shoumei. I was wondering if it would be less of a hassle to bring a 1 month supply, then see a doctor in Japan to get enough insulin for another 2 months? Not sure what the prices are in Japan for insulin though. Was planning to go August - October this year.

  • Question about why fuel gauge wont read properly?

I know my main issue is how my connection is setup, I installed a cutoff switch in the interior of my 09 crown victoria which runs to the negative terminal of the battery. So when the negative terminal is directly connected without the cutoff switch my fuel gauge reads properly, but when using my cut off switch it causes everything on the dash to read properly except for the fuel gauge.

So my main question, does the fuel gauge need a certain amount of power when the vehicle is started to function properly? After my car is fully started the battery reads around 14.5 volts. Also sometimes when driving the fuel gauge will correct itself and display greater than empty.

  • 09 Crown Victoria Freon leak but there is no leak?

So my freon has leaked out twice now ( had it professionally added twice ), even had an appointment to get the system checked for leaks but no leaks were found using the uv dye setup.

I think it may be an issue with the emergency valve. Since when this issue does happen I hear a loud hissing / static noise coming from the driver side under the hood and a bunch of smoke comes out of the hood ( probably freon escaping? )

Not sure what the issue could be but I really want to get it fixed this summer since it's usually very hot outside.

  • Canon c300 vs Sony A7s 2 vs GH5 for video?

Looking to upgrade to a camera for documentary work. All 3 of these seem like amazing cameras with there ups and downs for each. A7S 2 has great low light, GH5 seems to have amazing video / stabilization / good rolling shutter. c300 seems to have great image quality, decent low light, and pretty great stabilization. I'm really leaning towards the C300 but with the higher price point at about $3100 and a larger body compared to the other two I'm not sure yet. Would most likely be using my canon 24-105 lens with any of the setups. Any suggestions or tips would be amazing.

  • Health insurance for a type 1 diabetic needing insulin?

So right now I started a new job where I'm making $2,000 a month. The health insurance I can get from my company is the "2016 Blue Cross Blue Shield $2,500 Deductible Plan" which is $42.75 a week. So I was wondering if I have to pay out of pocket for all my insulin until I reach the $2,500 amount spent? It seems like a giant amount to spend. Previous health care I've had in the past has been $40 a month and most of my insulin was just $20 for my food and night time insulin. Right now it's probably going to cost me $1,000 out of pocket to just get the insulin I need that will last me a few months... I'm not sure what to do, it doesn't seem affordable at all from the help I've gotten in the past. Not sure why these plans are so different from my plan through the state before "MNSure" Minnesota, USA.

  • How do people not get sick from showering?

I've heard that most people in Thailand always purchase bottled water and stay away from tap water since it can make you really sick. How do people avoid from getting sick when taking baths or showering if most of the water is contaminated? I know when swimming in some rivers in certain countries you can get some very bad parasites. Just curious if I have anything to worry about when visiting?

  • Length of metal rods to re-activate back doors of a 09 crown victoria?

I checked and the back doors of my 09 crown victoria are missing the metal rods that allow the doors to be opened from the inside. Was wondering if I can just buy metal rods from a hardware store and bend the ends to the correct length? Or will rods from any car make / model work about the same? I'm not sure of the length needed or if they need to be a special shape.
