09 Crown Victoria Freon leak but there is no leak?
So my freon has leaked out twice now ( had it professionally added twice ), even had an appointment to get the system checked for leaks but no leaks were found using the uv dye setup.
I think it may be an issue with the emergency valve. Since when this issue does happen I hear a loud hissing / static noise coming from the driver side under the hood and a bunch of smoke comes out of the hood ( probably freon escaping? )
Not sure what the issue could be but I really want to get it fixed this summer since it's usually very hot outside.

Could be either a very very small leak or...a clog in the system perhaps a pressure valve high or low side malfunctioning. I would flush and recharge then check you're compressor clutch and pressure switches for proper function.

You need a gas sniffing tool to get in by the evaporator to check for leaks. You can't see up in the heater box. Who you going to? Some sort of lube boy?

Has it leaked down any yet? If not, the dye test is NOT finished. You will have to continue testing.

Possible causes:
- Faulty pressure relief valve
- The system is building up excess pressure
