Planning a 3 month trip to Japan for a Type 1 diabetic?

So the Japanese law states that you can only bring a 1 month supply or drugs or you'll need to acquire a yakkan shoumei. I was wondering if it would be less of a hassle to bring a 1 month supply, then see a doctor in Japan to get enough insulin for another 2 months? Not sure what the prices are in Japan for insulin though. Was planning to go August - October this year.

It's going to be less of a hassle to see a doctor who in all likelihood won't understand English enough to communicate with you, won't know anything at all about you and your condition, and you'll have no insurance to pay for said visit and medication?

    Just fill out the form.
