What time does usps empty the mailbox outside of their post office?

I'm wondering if everything is emptied and shipped on the same day? Sending an online order out and need it shipped that day, will it be scanned in before the end of the day if I drop it off in the morning before work?

    usually more than once a day. The times are posted on the box.

    During the week there ar emptied on a regularly scheduled basis so it will get picked up

    Every drop box has a sign on it giving the times they collect the mail. You can also get that information from the USPS website search for local PO branches.
