What can I do to speed up my PC for gaming?

GPU is old i.e shader model 3.0 with direct x 9c support.....

now a days, most games use shader model 4.1 and even 5.

you need a better GPU

your choices will be limited because

1 your power supply will be small

2 you may have a SFF case meaning you may need a low profile video card to fit inside it

for power supplies of 300 watts or less you can fit a GT610

which is not absolutely fantastic but does have

OpenGL, CUDA and Physx

and can be purchase with low profile bracket.

with a Better(large) PSU wattage you can increase to a GT630 or better

upgrade your power supple and then get an AMD graphics card. they will give you better price/performance.
