How broad can a metalheads tastes be?

Don't know if I'm considered a metalhead, but metal (Iron Maiden, Rammstein, Nightwish, Within Temptation, etc.) has more songs in my music collection than other genres. Other than that, I listen to stuff that literally goes from ABBA to ZZ Top. I have a surprising/disturbing (depends how you see it) number of Shakira albums, some 80s pop, bit of flamenco, some klezmer music....

I'm not a close-minded elitist pig, but I admit that my music taste ain't that broad. Well, my music library would appear extremely broad if you break it down into different subgenres but at the end of the day, it's still all rock and metal. I occasionally listen to some folk and Celtic music but aside from that, I only listen to music that has an electric guitar and drums on it.

Haha, well I am a closeminded elitist pig. I'll admit that. I can be very snooty about what counts as real music even though I know it's all just subjective tastes. But there's some interesting stuff in my collection that isn't metal:

- soft stuff like Dido, Seal, various K-pop artists, Jack Johnson

- Russian Red Army Choir

- various electronic based music like trance, house, aggrotech

- ambient music

- some folk music (European folk, not American)

- some ska and grunge

A metalhead is a person who listens to metal. It doesn't matter if a metalhead listens to both pop and metal, or scene **** and metal, still a metalhead.

I mostly listen to metal, but my taste is pretty broad I guess.

As broad as the amount of music genres there are.
