Like Broncos is Colorado and Texans is Texas. I know they're the New York....., but they play in New Jersey. So what state do they belong to?

Giants fans are mostly in the states of New York (except for a few places) and Connecticut while Jets fans are mainly in Manhattan and New Jersey.

You know the name is New York, and you know where the stadium is in New Jersey. So what are you asking?
Teams don't "belong" to anyone.
The Broncos play in Colorado. They don't belong to Colorado.

Quite a few NFL teams do not play in the city they are named after but in a spot close by. The Dallas Cowboys do not play in Dallas but in near by Arlington I think. The Buffalo Bills play in Orchard Park, not Buffalo. The Washington Redskins play in Landover Maryland and not D.C.
