I feel really unmotivated?

I'm not exactly unhappy, I just feel so tired and stressed all the time. I have a ton of things (important schoolwork) that I need to do but I can't bring myself to do it. I used to read 3-5 books a week and I loved to write. But now I haven't read a book in months - nothing appeals to me anymore.

I just seem to want to slob around and eat; my grades are going down and I have really important exams coming up. I'm trying to push myself to do more work but I want to give up all the time.

Do you have any tips for me? Thank you in advance.

Hey :-) I know how that feels, my honest advice is to start small, even if you might find that hard and even if you are on of those people (like me) who like to be extreme and do a lot of larger projects at the same time.

Get a sleeping pattern that fits you and start to eat healthier (especially try to eat green vegetables and fruit) , also get a check up at the doctor because you could be extremely tired due to an iron deficiency! From that point do your work in segments of 30 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of exercise ,10 minutes of rest and 10 minutes to eat a small protein filled snack , repeat again until the work is finished for the day!

About the reading, start by reading 1 book a week, but don't put any pressure on it, remember that you do not HAVE to, you WANT to! Start with any book that is really your style and not too long.

Just remember that every situation can be turned around into a success story and that every day is a new chance to better yourself, but do not expect too much from yourself, it is a process...Prioritize your health and well-being, because it is much harder to fix a person than a bad grade (out of personal experience)

    Good Luck! :-)

My first thought is that you sound depressed. But you could also have a physical reason for your being tired (which then makes you not have much motivation). I would suggest a visit to your family practitioner who can do some blood work to check for anemia, thyroid or hormonal imbalance, etc. If everything checks out physically, maybe a trial of anti-depressants would help.

Sometimes life can get you down just take a quick break and do something you love. Maybe go for a run it just look outside at the night sky or at a sunrise. Don't force yourself to be motivated. Want to be and do something you love. Good luck with your exams!
