Why are atheists in R&S?

Why do you not know what an atheist is‽

ATHEIST - someone who does not believe in a God – any God – not just the Christian one. But that does not mean they do not hold strong moral or religious beliefs! They can follow any religion that does not have a god and there are a lot of those!

Like BUDDHISM – Religious teaching from Buddha and his followers that by destroying greed, hatred and delusion (the cause of all suffering) man can attain perfect enlightenment!

Why so blind to what causes the backlash against Christianity?

ALL the other religions and atheists live in peace and are ONLY attacked by BAD Christians which causes all GOOD Christians to despair at the damage they do!

The self destruction of Christianity is underway and the only thing that can stop it is to abandon the terrible human emotions, seek to rediscover the idea of a loving god and act like it!

Posts like yours that drive people further away from God are driving you towards hell.

So who are you working for the devil or the antichrist because it sure ain't the loving god!

Do a refresh of the R&S section. Look at the number of questions with titles "ATHEISTS: Why is x a bit like y BECAUSE I SAY SO", or "Hey ATHEIST, how can x be true if I say y".

As long as religious types keep asking utterly stupid questions with "ATHEIST" in the title that summons us here, we're gonna keep showing up.

If the people in R&S actually devoted some time to religion and spirituality instead of troll-baiting atheists then it might be a better section. I've tried to answer some questions here using my somewhat limited knowledge of theology and spirituality, but I ended up getting downvoted or trolled because I wasn't willing to start a stupid fight with some hardcore religious nut.

Bottom line is that very few of the religious people in here are prepared to ask theological or religious questions. Instead they ask non-stop "HEY ATHEIST, I AM A DUM AND HERE IS MY DUMB QUESTION" questions. Even attempting to answer a religious question here with any kind of reasonable answer just gets you flamed, because nobody is willing to engage with you on an intellectual level above that of a sea mollusc.

Why are humans in the Animal section?

Atheist have just as much of a right to discuss their disbelief in a deity as Christians have to discuss their belief in one. This is an open forum.

Because atheism pertains to this section I am not surprised that you cant find the relationship between the two.

I have to admit that since this is the first time anyone has EVER asked this question in R&S I'm completely caught off guard.

This section is for discussing religion, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be religious to discuss it.

I've seen plenty of f*cked up fundy trolls and legit people more crazy then me on the R&S so don't say jack.

Why are humans in the cat section? It's the topic of discussion. Believe it or not, some atheists (theists like to think ALL atheists do) enjoy discussing and debating religion (or spirituality..), so they come here.
