Is "Happy Holidays" really that appropriate?

I know everyone is trying to be culturally sensitive, but, really, we know what you mean when you say "Happy Holidays", so why say it?

I can't be the only atheist at least a bit annoyed by that term. I mean, I'm not saying there's a war of Christmas, but it is really annoying when I hear "Happy Holidays" and I'm not celebrating a thing called "Holidays" and don't know anyone celebrating anything other than Christmas, which has by and large become a secular holiday, anyways.

Maybe I'll celebrate Kwanzaa and I'll get it this year.

The "Happy Holidays" PC thing is getting a bit silly. It's a wonder that we haven't ended up with this:

Really, if they wanted to do the PC thing properly, there's a problem with "Happy". What if the person isn't feeling particularly happy? Surely that should be "Neutral Emotions" so that we don't offend unhappy people or people who aren't particularly fussed either way.

Then there's that word "Holidays"... atheists don't see any day as holy, so clearly we're discriminating against them. "Random Day" is far more religion-neutral.

So, everybody, the new greeting for this year is "Neutral Emotions Random Day!". Everybody got that? Good. Then off you go and enjoy yourselves. Not too much, though... we wouldn't want to offend anybody.

I'm a Christian and of course I get annoyed by the "happy Holidays" and "seasons greetings". What's wrong with Merry Christmas? Then again, I would think that. But not everyone that celebrates Christmas is even religious and I don't know of anyone celebrating everyone single holiday during the winter season. To some, Christmas is about getting together with family and just having a good time.

Kwanzaa is also a holiday. So is Christmas, New Year's day and Groundhog Day.

Wishing someone "Happy Holidays" includes all the holidays that person celebrates.

(There are seven major religious holidays in December and January and hundreds of lesser ones, religious and secular.)

I know many people who celebrate Hanukkah, and several who celebrate the Solstice. 'Happy holidays' is not just a politically correct idea... it's more respectful. I don't mind if someone wishes me a 'Merry Christmas', but some people might. People really do celebrate other holidays at this time of year.

If you want tho modify your lifetime then this really is your guide https://tr.im/82EtZ , Manifestation Miracle.

With Manifestacion Miracle you will learn what the law states of attraction. The Manifestation Miracle does a great work of training you only how clearly you'll need to want anything to be able to do what' needed in order to get it. Think of want the same way you'd consider a candle. If the candle is burning strong then you'll drive previous obstacles in order to get that which you want. If the candle is not using at all, you then won't. Desire is just a burning fireplace. Not just do you have to own it, but you also have to keep throwing wood on it to keep it burning.

That guide can be as straightforward since it gets and with it you'll have the ability to begin thinking in what' possible very fast.

As a Christian, I am not offended by the term. There are other holidays during the Christmas season by people of other beliefs. I think it is appropriate. I think your offense is subjective and reflects your unhappiness during the season. Try to cheer up.

If you're in a position where you honestly don't know which holiday the person you're addressing celebrates then Happy Holidays is probably more appropriate. However most people will respond to ANY holiday greeting with "Thanks, you too." and all will be well, so it doesn't really matter.
