Why does this app close when I try starting it?
It's a game. Machinarium. When I touch the screen to start it the game just closes out. It doesn't start at all.

For Windows of course.
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games7 years agoWhere can I get a converter for component cables to work on PAL TV's?
I know this exists, but what is the thing that allows for US component cables work on PAL format TV's?
2 AnswersOther - Electronics7 years agoDoes Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn come with a free subscription?
Let me be more specific here: I know that you have to pay a monthly subscription fee to play it. However, some games with subscriptions like this come with a free 30 day pass or something. I was just wondering if the standard game or collector's edition came with it. I am planning on getting it but want to know before I buy.

I saw a doctor and he said my heart is fine, plus I'm only 24 making an aortic aneurysm unlikely. Still, my stomach pulsates occasionally and I get some stomach cramps.
1 AnswerOther - Health7 years agoHow does communism encourage individualism?
I have heard a few people claiming to be Marxist communists claiming that communism will give people the freedom to be individualists. In other words, it'll give them the opportunity to explore themselves as humans and become the people they want to be.
Unfortunately, when I try pressing these people for explanations, even respectfully, they either attack capitalism (which can in no way answer the question because the question's not about how capitalism suppresses free will) or they just talk down on me. I've never been able to get the answer to this question, to be honest. I'm not here to argue with anyone, I'd just like a straight answer.

4 AnswersImmigration7 years agoWho do you believe will win the WWEWHC at Elimination Chamber?
I wasn't typing out "WWE World Heavyweight Champion", but WWE likes acronyms, anywyas, so I'll go with it.
PS,
I'm blocking anyone that uses the source bar as a spot for their signature. That crap is annoying.
4 AnswersWrestling7 years agoWhich skeptics were inspired by Harry Houdini?
I'm reaching out to skeptics in the R&S section, assuming that I will get some help from you guys.
I know a couple, like James Randi and Penn & Teller, but who else? Links are encouraged.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhen is God going to be angry at space agencies for building the International Space Station?
He destroyed the Tower of Babel and dispersed people for building it. The ISS has surely reached higher levels than the tower ever did. When is God going to punish us?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhere can I get recovery disks for my Samsung Series 3 Notebook?
I contacted Samsung well over a month ago
after my harddrive fried. I purchased a new one, but after calling twice Samsung has given me nothing. They keep telling me that they delivered it, but after a month went by I don't think it's coming. They claimed to have shipped another several weeks ago, but I never got that one, either.
Is there anywhere online I can just buy them? I've checked Amazon and EBay amd found nothing. I'm in a rut.
1 AnswerLaptops & Notebooks7 years agoIf atheists are supposed to prove God doesn't exist, considering the null hypothesis?
If you could prove a negative, wouldn't the null hypothesis of proving God doesn't exist mean proving God does exist? If atheists can't prove God does exist, which would be the null hypothesis, wouldn't that mean de facto we have proven God doesn't exist?
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoIs "Happy Holidays" really that appropriate?
I know everyone is trying to be culturally sensitive, but, really, we know what you mean when you say "Happy Holidays", so why say it?
I can't be the only atheist at least a bit annoyed by that term. I mean, I'm not saying there's a war of Christmas, but it is really annoying when I hear "Happy Holidays" and I'm not celebrating a thing called "Holidays" and don't know anyone celebrating anything other than Christmas, which has by and large become a secular holiday, anyways.
Maybe I'll celebrate Kwanzaa and I'll get it this year.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy would someone just assume someone is a liar because someone else told them so?
Interestingly enough, one of the fictional characters in the Bible (Satan) is called the "King of Liars" by the lead character, God. In what reality would a person just assume someone is a liar before getting to know them based solely on the grounds someone else said they were?
Exactly why should I assume Satan is the liar, exactly, when I haven't even gotten to hear his side of the story?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIs there more evidence for the ancient alien "theory" than creation?
I understand ancient alien "theories" are similar to creation, but which is more believable?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoAre atheists mentally ill?
Don't get upset at me. I'm quoting the headline from an article from the Telegraph. I know my response to this(that it isn't a mental illness by any definition), but wondering what others think.
Article so no one thinks I'm making it up.
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWould the story of Adam and Eve be the perfect sitcom?
I could see it now:
A couple of innocent screwups(played by Adam and Eve), try to live their lives in their habitat while trying to please their overbearing landlord(played by God). Join them in their wacky adventures, where you'll laugh and cry.
The episode where they eat the fruit could be the "a very special episode" in the style most other sitcoms get.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDoes someone else being evil make them necessarily wrong?
Let's pretend for one second atheists were horrible people. Come on, guys. Imagination!
Does that instantly mean there has to be a god if Christians, or any religious people, were better people? Would that be actual evidence that god exists because "bad" people exist that don't think the same way?
BQ:
If Hitler said "2+2=4" in school as a child should we completely disregard that as a fact because he was a bad person?
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIs there anything more disturbing than someone using suicide to promote what they believe?
I see it a bit on here from Christians. It kind of sickens me, truthfully.
