You are either a Troll or just someone who does not know how to write a question. None of what you have said makes any sense, either legally or practically.

Did the bill arrive at your "old" address or your new one? If it was the old address then how did you collect it if you don't live there any more? If it was at your current address then how did the sender know where you live?

You did not have a bill for $300 for a BT phone line. They don't send bills in dollars.

You did not get a bill or a visit from a bailiff either. Thy don't send bills and only visit debtors with the authority of a court order and you would have had to have gone through a lot of legal procedures before that happens.

If when you lived in the house there was a BT phone when you left you should have had your name taken off the contract. If it is since you left the house then you will simply have to prove your current address and how long you have lived there.

The original bill would have been a lot less than 300. It has been sold on to Bailiff's and perhaps other fees have been added as well if that makes it make more sense.

Was there a phone line in the house, very strange these days not to have one. Why the dollar sign?

Baliffs do not send bills, so what are you talking about.?

The bill would be in pounds not dollars and your question does not make any

$3? You are in the UK why would they want $'s? What are two "o" after the 3 for?
