Do you believe in reincarnation or rebirth?

I have only a few years left and want to understand rebirth. Serious answers only please, this is not a joke. I am accepting this with grace.

Think about pregnancy and how a fetus grows.

A fetus starts with only the combination of two cells. It grows up gradually to have a heart, a brain, limbs, skin, other organs, signs of consciousness and eventually the state of independence.

All pregnancies, human and other species, are the same.

Do you think a cell made of two cells (one from male and female) could contain all information and code for everything?

    Why?

If it is possible to locate these information, believed only a brain can have, in a cell to build a brain, then we can dismiss rebirth.

When the brain dies (some of its functions), the body may remain at vegetated state - like trees. Trees don't need brain but are living things.

Our body maybe like trees but consciousness is what trees don't have. Even plants, that can move, don't need brain and consciousness. The ability to know or feel conscious is unique to life, not physical body.

This consciousness remains a mystery. Well, it's not possible to explain it with the laws of physics because it's not physical. I would like to suggest you to consider this seriously.

I am not going to use Religion here, more maybe spirituality, When I was young about 5 I got this feeling while looking up at the sky, that I had been here before. And my first thought was AGAIN!!! I felt like I didn't rest long enough. I felt tired, my soul did...I became angry with God for sending me down again unwillingly, I was a young wise little girl. The baby blue sky seemed too, very familier, I saw a accident once a little boy died in. It brought back a feeling of pain, hurt. I believe we come here to learn, our souls come to grow from different things we go through. We don't always learn our lessons because we are too busy being blinded by different things in life. I believe that's when you come back, or maybe ur soul needed some rest because all the pain it's going through. So you're body gives up, and you come back in a new vessel, a fixed body. Kinda like a snake shedding its skin. when a flower drops its seeds, the seeds get planted. A part of that flower keeps growing... undying and being reborn.

It's funny you should ask this because the last couple days I have been watching videos on Youtube about the subject. Before,I would have said no,but now I'm not so sure. There are these stories of children who claim to be someone else from somewhere else and their stories are checking out to be true. The child will know specifics or things no one could possibly know.I know I shouldn't believe everything on the web,but these stories proved very interesting. You might want to check them out. There are also stories about angels and near death experiences(I don't know if you might be interested in that or not)I hope you find what you are looking for.Good luck!

Yes, I do. I have thought about such things from an early age, before I ever knew there was anything written or spoken of by anyone about the subject.

Read "Home with God, In A Life That Never Ends", by Neale Donald Walsch. It is a fascinating book on what happens after we "die". It may or may not be true, but is quite thought-provoking nevertheless.

Another good one is: Have You Lived Before This Life?, by L. Ron Hubbard, although I think that is not a true book on the subject but a collection of essays or studies on the subject: http://www.matrixfiles.com/Scientology%20Materials...

You must look into Edgar Cayce's writings on Reincarnation.

I used to not believe in Reincarnation until I read what Cayce had written. Cayce was called the Sleeping Prophet, because he always went into a trance and then when was asked about things, his spiritual guide would answer. And so many things that Cayce himself did not know about, were answered by the spiritual guide.

Cayce claims that all souls will reincarnate, over and over, until they become pure once again. And it was because of these souls becoming impure to begin with, during the creation of things, that God created Humans.

Humans in the form of current humans, were only the fourth generation of beings that God has used, to purify souls. Three other generations used, failed, and were almost completely wiped out, by God. But some were allowed to survive.

And it is from this Third Generation of beings, that the Human being was created, being Adam and Eve. These Fourth Generation of Beings, called humans, were more materialistic then the other three, which were more spiritual. These spiritual beings were highly technical in their ways, and had helped the humans with their lives, showing them how to do things that are considered impossible today. But for some reason, these technically advanced beings, became unseen, not invisible, but staying out of sight. Perhaps, it was because of how humans were so aggressive in nature.

And today, what we see as UFOs, are just these beings slowly making their entrance back into the world above, where as they normally live in the oceans as amphibian beings. (which was what they were before humans were created)

Back to Cayce, he explains all about souls, spirits and how people die and their spirit leaves and later returns to inhabit another body. It is NOT the soul doing this, but the soul's spirit, which is part of the soul.

The spirit keeps the same soul, but takes on many bodies, until during the process, it can become pure enough to once again be with God. This is done is stages, one through 7, with God being in Stage 8 and only He can be in that stage. Stages one through five, keep returning to earth until they can reach stage 6, where they then remain, and cannot be tempted by Satan. One through five, however can be tempted.

Jesus Himself, was Adam, and Abraham and Moses and maybe others, according to Cayce's spirit guide. Jesus has reached the 6th stage, and so He remains in Heaven, with God.

It has been a long time since I read these things, so a lot of it is probably mis stated. But the parts where pre humans were created prior to humans and we are in the Fourth Generation, going into the Fifth and possibly the Final Generation, I believe I have right.

Jesus refers to His return at the End of this Generation, and it is possible that He was referring to the Fourth Generation becoming the Fifth. I believe that HE will be the one leading us, during the Fifth generation.

Read Edgar Cayce, google it on the internet for some of his writings, and also go to the library, there are books out there. One interesting book is about Jesus and the spirit of Cayce,

    Yes.

Karma literally means action or doing.

Any kind of intentional action whether mental, verbal, or physical, is regarded as Karma.

It covers all that is included in the phrase "thought, word and deed".

Generally speaking, all good and bad action constitutes Karma.

In its ultimate sense Karma means all moral and immoral volition.

Karma does not necessarily mean past actions.

It embraces both past and present deeds.

    Hence in one sense, we are the result of what we were;

we will be the result of what we are.

The present is no doubt the offspring of the past and the actions you take now present the future.

It is this doctrine of Karma that the mother teaches her child when she says "Be good and you will be happy and we will love you; but if you are bad, you will be unhappy and we will not love you." In short, Karma is the law of cause and effect in the ethical realm.

….In his Gosho, the Daishonin presented instruction on the meaning and essence of our lives based on the most fundamental principle of Buddhism. These instructions explained how one could achieve true happiness, and they presented a description of the current state of our lives:

If you want to understand the causes made in the past, look at the results in the present. If you want to understand what results will be manifested in the future, look at the causes that are made in the present.

Yes. In 1963 the Aramaic scrolls being the source document for the gospel of Matthew were unearthed in Jerusalem. Although tremendously heretical, research will confirm their genuineness. Unfortunately there are those who automatically dismiss this document out of their own ignorance without any research whatsoever.

I am a born again Christian

the man who I am today

is not the man who I was 20 years ago

    he has passed away

and I am being slowly perfected in Christ.

Myself, no. I am and always will be Christian. I place my faith in Jesus who died for our sins and opened the gates of heaven for us. I sincerely hope you find faith in Jesus, because whoever believes in him and his sacrifice will go to heaven. I don't know if you turn into angels at that point or what but I do know that my eternal home is with god in heaven.

It makes more sense than an eternity of bliss or agony. It sort of makes life an endless gray area, unlike the black and white of heaven and hell. Don't know if it's true, but makes more sense than heaven and hell to me.
