Christians: why do you believe in Jesus?
There is little historical evidence that he existed, he left no writings of his own, there is no description of him, and a good chunk of his life is missing from the Bible. I have yet, in my nearly 60 years on this planet, to hear a compelling argument that supports his existence

I'm 57 now and it has been over 4 years since my divorce. Any likelihood, or am I too old?

2 AnswersQuotations7 years agoWhy do so many people on here post a statement instead of a question?
It is understood that you have an opinion about something and want it to be known, but you need to post your opinion as a question, not a statement.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoCan someone please explain this verse?
Ecclesiastes 1:18
For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
Is this saying that studying will make you sad? If this is true, then all Christians and other followers of the Bible should never attend a school of any kind, including Sunday School and Bible Class. Am I not right about this? Maybe I should not know about this for it will make me sad?
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristian wives: do you abide by the following commandment from the Bible?
Colossians 3:18 - Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
If no, why not? Your God demands this of you!
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristians: do you believe in Santa Claus?
If no, why not? What about the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny? No evidence? Hmmm...No evidence for Jesus either, but you believe in him. Why?
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoHow do I get rid of the black bar on the right side of my browser?
Not only did this mysterious black vertical bar suddenly appear on the right side of the browser window one day, my cursor is offset: to click on something on a web page, I have to position the cursor arrow a little to the right of what I want to click on. I had this problem before and was somehow able to fix it but I forgot what I did so I am hoping to find the answer here as it is very annoying. There is not problem with the internet header at the top of the page - just the internet window where the web pages are.
1 AnswerGoogle7 years agoHow do I get rid of the black bar on the right side of my browser?
This black bar appeared after the computer did some automatic updates. In addition to the black bar, the cursor is offset, meaning I have to put it a little to the right of what I want to select. I read online that this has something to do with the ATI driver, but I notice that if do a "reopen last browsing session" then I may have a normal page. So, I do a comparison of the normal page and the abnormal page, in internet options, and can't find any difference in the settings.
1 AnswerOther - Internet7 years agoChristians, hypothetical question: what would be your viewpoint of God and Jesus if there were no bible?
Let's just say you woke up tomorrow and suddenly all the bibles were gone and your memory of it was gone as well, but the story of Jesus was still around as it is a popular story. What would you think of this story?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoHey, does this happen to you?
You come up with what you think is a brilliant or clever answer or response to a question and you can't wait to see all the thumbs up? Happens to me every time and I get a little bummed if I get thumbs down - although I am sometimes expecting it if my response is making fun of someone's beliefs.

How does one trust a being who doesn't exist? And even if you think he does exist in some form, how do you know he can trust? Give examples please of trusting Jesus and KNOWING that the trust is there.
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy do they say "Jesus is Lord"?
Where is this "Lord", other than in a fictional history book?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy do they say "Jesus is Lord"?
Jesus is: NOT! How can something that is NOT be anything at all, much less a lord? I don't care what it says in the bible about this. I just want a rational reason for how a being that was written about but is no longer with us - or at least not of or in the world as most of us know it - can BE anything at all other than nonexistent! The next door's neighbor's dog is more qualified to be a lord than any non-being. I'm just sayin'!
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy do some Christians feel it necessary to declare or announce that they are?
I have seen where people announce or mention or declare that they are a Christian and/or God-fearing and I was just wondering why they do that? Am I supposed to be impressed? Are they trying to claim that they are special and perhaps better than non-Christians? Is it an ego-thing, or does their religion make them do that?
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHow do I meet Jesus of Nazareth?
Somebody told me earlier today that I am ignorant because I suggested it is impossible to meet Jesus. Really? How is it ignorant to say it is impossible to meet somebody who died 2,000 years ago?
