Why do they say "Jesus is Lord"?

Anyone in high authority is called a lord. The English judges of today are called lords and others also in high authority. It was also in the days of Jesus and so it was not uncommon to be called lord.

Jesus is Lord because he fulfills prophecy as it pertains the messiah. He is also Lord because it is the Dogma influenced by his teaching that prevails across the world as the dominant religion, and has influenced and impacted upon the lives of so many in ways we can't fully comprehend. Look, regardless of if you believe it or not, regardless of if he isn't God or does not or ever even exist, the fact is that people believe he is Lord and because of that he is. It's like this. For a long time we thought Pluto was a planet. Then we found out it wasn't a planet. Draw some sort of logic from that.
