Why do the majority of women take star signs so seriously?

It's another classic example of how women can't stand on their own two feet. Without someone telling them what to do.

They basically will just follow any advice anybody gives, it doesn't matter about the source or credibility.

its interesting. Women just seem to take the bait every time. I mean same can be said for relationships, if a guy is having affair and he says he isn't, they will just believe you lol they are so dumb.

the answer to this question isn't about star signs, its rather how stupid and unintelligent women are compared to men.

Astrology is not baseless. Its just not something people should base everything off of.

Its really not that unbelievable that people born in different seasons and months have certain similar temperaments. Its just ridiculous to put everyone in a mold and obsess about it.

If you think of where the sun, earth, gravitational pull is when your born and the shifts thru out the year its not that odd to consider that people born under same time have similar perspectives in some ways based on how they are grow thru time shifting.

But to take life advice from a columnist from a local paper as if its tailored to you seems absurd.

Its is interesting reading when you read the history and concepts behind it. Which honestly the more authentic version to me parells spirituality more. Its not as odd of a concept as the commercialized version you speak of.

Its ridiculous to think the advice on Cosmo should be used. People should not write people off based on there sign. If anything just being more aware of generalizations of temperaments of people based on when they are born.

Anyways I am not ritualisticly into star signs I do think that the concept (the in commercialized version) can provide insight and perspective or at the very least fun history trivia.

It isn't everyone women, only a small handful but I totally agree with what you are saying. Star signs, horoscopes and all that crap is just bullsh*t. It's especially annoying when people choose to not date a someone because apparently they won't got on because of their star signs. They don't even give the poor guys a chance and they group/label everyone together. Apparently I might be stubborn because I'm an Aries which is total crap because everyone has different personalities. Sorry for ranting but this is one subject that annoys the hell out of me.

It's not just women there are loads of men who are interested and believe in it.

But the ones you meet clearly don't even actually know anything about astrology, because people who really do don't just go by the sun sign and throw around stupid commens like all Leo men are cheats stay away etc. so you are just attracting yourself to immature women by the sounds of it.

See that's the funny thing, in astrology it's the persons venus sign that influences how they are in relationships not their sun sign.

I'm Aquarius sun but my Venus is in Pisces and that makes me act totally different in a relationship than going by just my Aquarius sun. A person in a sign can have any of the 12 signs as their Venus and you wouldn't know unless you knew their correct birth details. I do personally believe in astrology to some extent because I got a personal reading that was so personal to me that couldn't of just been given to anyone, aspects of my past etc. But I don't let it rule relationships.

I don't think the majority of women take star signs seriously. I've only met one, and she was super clingy and pushy and kept showing me pictures of her boyfriend. That friendship didn't last very long =^-*=!

I am convinced that some people are just shallow people magnets. It impresses me, to be honest. I've never met a grown woman interested in star signs.

It's been shown that the way women's brains are hardwired cause us to be attracted to Magical Thinking, including Astrology, Religion, Alternative Medicine, Unicorns, and other nonsense far more seriously than men... It's just part of our brain biology.

I'm one of the lucky few that started out believing in all sorts of magical nonsense but lack the biology for theism and magical thinking so was able to overcome the desire to latch onto pretty fantasies and face the cold light of reality.

Lol...I got a thing about Aquarius. Don't want to date them. My partner is a Leo. We both get along and butt heads at the same time. Yes. He is prideful and so am I. We understand one another. Truly twin flames. Leos and Aries are like Mac & Cheese. The Lion and the Ram, two fire crackers igniting in endless passion. If you are a Gemini, your twin flame could be a Libra.

Gemini are cool. They just cheat when you bored them. I think it's funny. I also do notice a pattern of Aquarius guys being awful in relationships. Lots of girls rant about Aquarius and Virgo. So, I would assume all the guys here who have a hard time finding "decent women" are Virgos or Aquarius. lol...I'm kidding. Sometimes I get into astrology for the fun.

Being strict with it can prevent you from meeting some great people.

Women buy magazines because they need hints on how to think and such like, same with star signs

I know 4 people who believe this bunk. Only two of them are women.
