Im afraid that The Exploited's 1981 album isnt true anymore. Punk is not not dead. The only 'punk' we see in the mainstream are crappy pop punk bands that have NO punk ethos at all. What happened to the speed breaking tempo? What happened to the rebellious, abrasive lyrics? What happened to the power of raw distortion?

Punk music has hit a dead end and the only good punk nowdays is underground punk that mixes genres, experiments correctly and/or revives old forms of punk.

I don't think it's dead, or dying, I think it's hiding behind all the other genres, if that makes sense.

There are still alot of other punk rock bands out there making music, or aspiring too.

Music venues come and they also GO, as you shall find out soon enough, some even become fads and develop cult followings, the trick to surviving them is not get into ANY ONE OF THEM TO DEEPLY.........., and give yourself the FLEXIBILITY and also the ABILITY to learn and grow with NEW ONES, all the while developing an APPRECIATION FOR THE ONES, that came BEFORE.......Paul G.
