what is a sensible amount to spend on my boyfriend for christmas?

ok so i have been with my boyfriend for well over 2 years and i always spend christmas with him and his family.

the first year i was with him i spent about £10

last year about £25

but this year i have a job and earn about £400 a month sometimes £500

what is a sensible amount to spend on him

i have already spent about £25 but there is something else i want to get him that costs £21.

is nearly £50 too much?

my boyfriend is unemployed at the moment so he will be spending about £30 on me.

so is £50 too much or is that ok? i just want to know what the norm is

£50 is fine. That's what I spend on my boyfriend.

I think £50 is fine.... I live in Canada and I am spending $250 on my boyfriend (that is our limit this year) which is £1625.60. I have been with him for just about 2 years now, and I only make about $600 a month canadian dollars (£3901.45) as I only work part time because I am in university) however, I don't think there's anything wrong with spending £50... he has probably spent money on you taking you out for dinner etc, so this is a way of paying him back I guess

That's okay but what are you spending on your parent(s) and other family members, your parent(s)/whoever raised you should come before any boyfriend.
