What is the worst thing you dislike about NFL football?

Try to limit it to just 3 things.

Update:

Mine:

1. Electronic communications on the sidelines between coaches and players.

2. The whole instant replay (delay) system.

3. Exhibition football games.

Update 2:

@Basket Case: Go ahead, take the gloves off, give me everything you dislike!! I'll add:

4. Rule changes that favor only the offenses.

5. Teams no longer playing within the city limits of the towns they represent.

6. The NFL combine.

7. Regular season games being played in London, England

8. Inconsistent calls by referees.

9. Untouchable QBs.

10. Dome stadiums and artificial turf.

Update 3:

@ Reynaldo: You're the 20TH person to reply to this question...and the FIRST one too stupid to give an answer. Now go sit down in the corner, be a good boy and don't embarrass yourself any more than you already have.

    1. The fact that not every play is reviewable. So it's OK to challenge a spot that can move the ball six inches, but a bogus pass interference call that covers 50 yards is a no go.

    2. Rog Goodell's incomprehensible rulebook.

    3. The NFL sucking up to murderer Ray Lewis for 10+ years.

    4. Pregame shows where the participants yuk it up like a bunch of clowns and laugh at each other's stupid, planted jokes.

    5. The whole breast cancer thing where players wear pink crap for a month. It officially went over the top this year when the flags went pink. (FYI everybody, if saving lives is the goal the charity should be women's heart disease). Throw in Futbol Americano and every other special month. Just play the effing game.

    6. Raider fans who dress up in Halloween costumes, sit in some dump called the "black hole" and expect the visiting team to be intimidated.

    7. Paying full price for two meaningless exhibition games every year.

    8. Carrie Underwood (and Faith Hill before that) singing "It's time to play some football!!" only to have the game start eight minutes later. On the plus side, if you have to take a piss or a dump and you hear sweet little Carrie singing that it's time to play, you know you have eight minutes to take care of business.

    9. Stupid commercial spacing, e.g. a team scores, kicks the PAT. To commercial. Back from commercial, scoring team kicks off, return. To commercial.

    10. Hack announcers who clearly do zero preparation before the game.

    1. Basically did away with the running game, especially the two-back backfield.

    2. Agree with the dome stadiums and artificial turf. They should play football the way it was meant to be played. Use to love watching the games in Minnesota in the cold and snow, or the dust/dirt swirling around in Shea stadium.

    3. Rarely show the cheerleaders anymore :(

    4. Get paid way to much money and most players just ride the pine and hold a clip board.

    5. Most of the announcing teams today are terrible.

    6. They have way too many guys in the studios now, and most of them are worthless.

    7. Hate that the Rams no longer wear their classic (1969) White & Blue jerseys, blue helmets with white horns. Best uniform in all of sports! Bring 'em back!

    1. All the rule changes Bill Polian implemented, bump and run coverage beyond 5 yards from the line of scrimmage is 15 and an automatic first! Is it any wonder 4,000 passing yards is no longer a real milestone?

    2. Fewer premiere RB's because more teams are opting for a vertical passing offense(see 1.)

    3. "Dual Threat" awkward looking black NCAA option QB's being taken in the draft.

Pass interference on under thrown balls.

Inconsistent refs at the end of the game (should swallow the whistle like NHL refs)

The excessive celebration on a very average play

...If you think they are overpaid, look at how much baseball player make

    The commish

The stupid helmet to helmet penalties

    Pass interference calls

    1. Defenses not being allowed to play defense

    2. Diva QB's getting all the calls (you know who I'm talking about)

    3. Roger Goodell

For me, it is NBC's use of the flex schedule this season. Why they flexed the New England Patriots @ Baltimore Ravens game, but kept on the New York Giants @ Washington Redskins game, is beyond me.

1- apparently defense shouldnt be played

2- qbs and wrs getting too much credit

3- players getting so much money. theyre still relatively underpaid, but a good amount get ridiculous money relative to the rest of the team.

I dislike the high number of players that get paid millions of dollars who are getting into trouble off the field and are getting arrested.
