the best cookware for anyone is what works best for them while meeting certain standards. Stainless steel needs to be sturdy and have a layered bottom to heat evenly and keep from warping. All Clad and Cuisinart are the stainless components I have used for over 30 years and wouldn't trade for anything. T Fal has some stainless steel worth trying out, I'd check the reviews offered on amazon to get information from people that have purchased and used this brand. It's best to purchase separate cookware rather than a set. This way you aren't wasting space and money on pans you won't use or don't preform as well as something else. Stainless is not so great as frying or sautee pan, cast iron is the ultimate for that type of cooking. Roasting and baking can also be done very well in the cast iron. I am fortunate to have many ancient iron pans that I have gathered over the years that use on a daily basis. These pans are some of my most treasured belongings. Well seasoned cast iron can be used for just about everything you could want to cook. Look at estate and rummage sales, ebay and family members for high quality cast iron. Do a little homework to learn about the the most desired names in cast iron, and how to clean old rusty cruddy iron and how to get it back into useful seasoned condition and keep it that way. Non stick pans have a place in my kitchen as egg pans. High grade commercial like All Clad and Viking are the two brands I would suggest. I know that the advice I'm giving may be a bit overwhelming and the cost is a initially high, but consider having to replace inexpensive flimsy cookware every few years and my suggestions become the most economical choice. Purchasing a piece of cookware every couple months that can last a lifetime and beyond will provide you with a well appointed set of cookware you designed for how you prepare food.

The Best assumes nothing. You may need different cookware for cooking on gas, propane or electric. T Fal may say they are the best, but if you are cooking on an electric stove, it can scratch the surface. Simply buying a fancy name doesn't make the cook better, rather is just makes them spend more money.
