A deep theological question...?

In Exodus 1:19-20 it says that the Egyptian midwives lied to Pharaoh, and God blessed them. But in Revelation 21:8 it says that all liars will be thrown into the Lake of Fire. So where did the Midwives go between the time God blessed them and the time that he throws them into the Lake of Fire?

Yes, of course, because He is the One that delineates WHAT a lie is. It also states in another place that "you must smite that one who comes to kill you." But you allow him to destroy you, because you must not kill. Are you so blind you cannot see the difference? They were defending their own from extinction. Would not do the same?

The reasoning that comes to my mind is that life is precious to

Jehovah and the mid-wives knew this to be so. They feared the

true God more than they feared Pharaoh and they were blessed

because of this. There are a some things hard to understand

and uneducated teachers are twisting the Scriptures just as was

prophesied to happen. 2Peter 3:15 and 16 "Furthermore, consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul according to the wisdom given him also

wrote YOU, speaking about these things as he does also in all

his letters. In them, however, are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unsteady are twisting, as

they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction."

Every question you have can be answered truthfully from the

Scriptures if we allow the Scriptures to interpret themselves.

    2 Peter 1:20

Read the Bible on line at www.jw.org and do the cross referencing

to allow the Bible to interpret itself to you. Millions around the earth are studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses FREE .

Yes, Daniel 12:4 is seeing fulfillment during these last days.

Scripture answers your question, you have executed a classic Eisegesis: dictionary.reference.com/browse/eisegesis

17 BUT THE MIDWIVES FEARED GOD, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but SAVED THE MALE CHILDREN ALIVE.

This verse is directly connected with why God blessed the midwives:

20 Therefore God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew very mighty. 21 And so it was, BECAUSE THE MIDWIVES FEARED GOD, that He provided accomplishment for their households.

Another error on your part is the failure to realize that Revelation 21:8 is referring to anyone not cleansed by the blood of the lamb, apart from this cleansing we are all liars to one degree or another.

That would be up to the authors. These same authors could have had the midwives jump into a time machine and visit the Mayo clinic to study the fine points of birthin babies. Know what I'm sayin?

    Matthew 27:51-54

51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

54 So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”

    Romans 10:3-10

3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

5 For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.”[a] 6 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”[b] (that is, to bring Christ down from above) 7 or, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’”[c] (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”[d] (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The story of the attempted genocide by Pharaoh is in the Hebrew Bible.

Revelations is in the Greek Bible.

    Different religions.

Just another contradiction among so very many contradictions. This is why so many can make the Bible mean whatever they want it to mean--making it meaningless.

  • more pointless than deep don't you think
