    He's a traitor.

A few good results don't mitigate bad acts. I'm glad to know about the NSA, however, Snowden didn't do this for altruistic reasons.

Had he been a true whistleblower, he would have taken his information to the authorities, a legislator, perhaps. Had he been a patriot, he would have had the courage of his convictions.

Instead, he is in a country hostile to the US, attempting to dictate US foreign policy by blackmail.

    Yah, real patriot there.

He did one good thing which was letting the American people know that we are constantly being spied upon and monitored both in the air(from drones) and through the government tapping our phones. While Republicans try to say this is Obama's fault. It was actually started under Bush called the Patriot Act. While it was somewhat known that our government was spying on us, we did not know the scale of it. Snowden has only done this one good thing. The other leaked secrets about our military capabilities, defense budgets, secret bases, computer codes are not.

Does the definition of "patriot", necessarily require loyalty to the establishment? If not, then he is a patriot and my opinion of him remains favorable. He has taken refuge under a flag hostile to Washington. The question, then, is whether Washington defends Liberty as we know it.

It does no more than Moscow to defend true freedoms.

So, he is, in my opinion, to be regarded favorably.

Unfavorable, if he was going to be a whistle blower he should have done it on USA soil, doing it in Russia makes him a traitor.

Source(s): "OBAMA SO LOVED THE POOR HE CREATED MILLIONS MORE"!!!!!

The government needs more like him. Especially the bits of it prone to abusing secrecy.

A straight up opinion. He needs to be found guilty of treason and sentenced

    to life in Federal Prison,

  • the obama administration really dropped the ball in letting him get out of hong kong...he should have been captured by all means necessary and should have been tried for treason and shot.

He really stuck it to the pigs in the government. He cannot be a traitor for that to happen you would have to have a legitimate government.
