Christians: Since many religions are condoning wrongdoing, example: Gays, Adultery, fornication, others?

because of trends or the norm..... should true Christians be influenced and accepted this way of life or should they be guided by bible principles?

Update:

In these perilous times, we need to adhere closely to the counsel of God’s Word: “Keep strict watch that how you walk is not as unwise but as wise persons, buying out the opportune time for yourselves, because the days are wicked.” (Eph. 5:15, 16)

Wickedness is now more abundant than in any other time in history. Satan has devised many things to prevent people from doing Jehovah’s will or simply to distract them. As God’s servants, we know this, and we do not want to allow anything to undermine our loyalty to God. We also know what is shortly going to take place, and we put our confidence in Jehovah and his purposes.—Read 1 John 2:15-17.

Definitely Bible principals for me. Isaiah 5:20 says: Woe to those who are saying that good is bad, and bad is good. It's the way of the world today. Not influenced by it at all.

The standards of man change like the weather and the standards of God do not. We are all to answer to God so I choose to keep his standards. The debate is what are those standards as many dice and slice the word to interpret what those standards are. I see where Peter says 9 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed,fn which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,fn 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of Godfn spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

an honest look at the scriptures and what is taught in context is not being taught in most churches. The scriptures teach that ...For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. also But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.

The Bible is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16), so we should follow what the Bible teaches rather than what our culture says.

Christians are warned to stay away from the ways of the world - or the normal wide path to hell - a Christian is to remain on the narrow path to heaven

Source(s): Ephesians 2:1-7 New International Version (NIV) Made Alive in Christ 2 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus

Does it hurt to be so stupid?
