In scripture here is a few to consider and wonder if this pope is really for the Lord, reaction and responses welcome

The world loves this pope is this a contradiction?

he members have taken a very literal view of the Sabbath and I can respect one preferring one day above another. But my debate is really not on that issue as I have a huge problem with another position that being the mark of the beast. The teaching that Sun Worship is the mark of the beast is what is presented. I look at REv 13 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those [fn5] who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived. 15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

Now Peter writes

For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For He received from God the Father honor and glory when such a voice came to Him from the Excellent Glory: “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” 18 And we heard this voice which came from heaven when we were with Him on the holy mountain.

19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

My emphasis is on no prophecy is of a private interpretation. now the text clearly does not say that Sun sabbath is the mark of the beast. i can not see that and consider that view a private interpretation.

Rev 20 makes this a clear point

For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Is this view that Sun sabbath is the mark of the beast not adding to this book?

The same type of taking the word literally is the background of the strict view on the Sabbath yet when you take the same strict view of scripture here you have a problem. How do you reconcile these passages? With the idea that sun worship is the mark of the beast ?

The wicked prowl on every side, When vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

If you look at the world around you and particularly the things we call entertainment is the political and economic corruption not closing in?

I was looking at how in a span of a little over 200 years how in America we interpret the constitution quite differently than our fore fathers; I think they would be rolling over in their graves if hey could see what has become of the US. I listen to Catholic apologist staking high credibility that the traditions began early in the 3 or 4 hundreds were began like transubstantiation....we see how the US has departed form the original intent in 200 years how can you stake your credibility on things began 300 years past the days of Jesus and the Apostles? If we anchored to scripture and did not deviate from the concept did Jesus teach it was it practiced in the book of act and did the epistles mention it; the Catholic church might still look the the church out of the book of Acts.

The groups that claim that man made carbons are changing the weather are silent on the man made chem trails that are being sprayed on a huge level all over the globe by unmarked government planes. Researches verify that alarming amounts of aluminum and barium are being put into the atmosphere and by government agencies. Why are you not all over his issue as well? This spraying does affect the weather so as we debate climate change this massive environmental experiment should be on the front page? I will leave it to you to research chemtrails for yourself.

Christians believe the gospel of Jesus because of the Resurrection and fulfilled prophecy. The last days makes these prophecies, Iran Russia and Turkey will attack Israel and lose...A one world government will be formed by diplomacy...A peace solution will be made in Israel allowing them a third temple..these prophecies are critical because after the temple is opened the world leader will turn on Israel and persecute and kill many Jews, they will flee and then He will exult himself and demand to be worshiped , the mark of the beast will be required ..if all this happens will you take the mark or die taking your chances on Christ who receive those martyred during this time...god is merciful...it will be so obvious what will you do if it goes down like this?

the US killed almost 167 civilians in Afganastan and accused the Taliban of using human shield...where is the uproar? Palestinians using neighborhoods to launch missles is a fact but many were very against the Israeli response...what is the right thing to do? i dont think drinking lemonade and singing we are the world will work

as often as protestants and Catholics rail on each other, I give huge props to the Pope for standing up and condemning Obama's decision on abortion issues. God said Israels lowest point was when they passed their children through the fire. How about we bridge together a little more on the Love of God and the holiness of God? isn't the fear of the Lord to love good and hate evil...

many non Christian say that cant believe in Jesus or the God of the bible until they have proof that it is true, however many have positions such as belief in nothingness, or reincarnation..the point is ,is that your current beliefs offer no proof either, it seems ironic to demand proof of God when you have demanded no such proof from your current beliefs.
