Will the AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz work on my PC?

I really want to know if the AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz will work on my PC, so that I can play games like BattleField 4 without MEGA LAGG. (I can get a new computer case if I need to, because I'm spending 200 dollars on my custom PC) My PC is (currently) the Acer Aspire AX1800-E1502, (I'm listing the computer model because I don't know how many watts my power supply can dish out) thanks to anyone who can help.

Update:

What kind of Motherboard (Model) should I get to run the Vishera?

Update 2:

Will the Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3, Socket AM3 Motherboard work for my PC? Will it let me use all of the things I have in my PC already?

    Hi,

No the FX6300 will not be compatible with that PC. That PC uses an Intel Core 2 Duo which is Socket LGA775. The FX6300 is an AMD processor and that uses Socket AM3+.

The only processors that will work are selected LGA775 processors. Unfortunatly this standard has long been discontinued so you may be able to get a Core2Quad (quad core) second hand. But otherwise the system will require a new motherboard.

The main thing is to change the motherboard to a am3+ motherboard for the amd fx 6300 to work, a good asus or gigabyte mobo with a amd 990fx chipset
