Please help us name our bird? Please pick one of the six and explain why you think it's the best… thanks!?
We adopted a bird from a bird rescue, everyone thought the bird was a girl and "her" name was Hailey. We've had "Hailey" for a few weeks now and the DNA test results finally came back with the news that "she" is actually a HE.
So we could continue calling her "Hailey" but it's sort of weird now that we know.
We narrowed name choices down to six:
-Finn
-Sam
-Skyler
-Rio
-Wesley
-Flynn
This bird can live to be about 100 years old so for that reason, we want to make sure we have the BEST name possible chosen for him.
(Finn and Flynn, we just really like those. Sam or Sammy, we had a beloved dog pass away named Sam and we love this name. Skyler, we love as well, plus the bird and sky correlation. Rio is a great name but maybe too overused for birds. Wesley, we love as well.)
Please choose from one our choices (even if you don't like one, just choose the best one from the list) and why and then if you like, please also put your choice of a name for a large, colorful bird.
Thanks for your help!!! :)
thanks he is quite a colorful large Macaw (Camelot)
We like Rio but I've always been one for human names on animals. Please add suggestions. Thanks.
*******I FORGOT SOMETHING IMPORTANT
We have another parrot (smaller) named Frasier so I would love a name that fits nicely with Fraiser.
Thanks!

Perhaps I'm over thinking the question, but I think that of your options, Wesley would be the best choice.
My reasoning would be that it has a similar ending to Hailey, and so it wouldn't be much of a transition for the bird to learn to respond to.
(But then again, Haley Joel Osment is a boy. So you could still keep the bird's current name. It wouldn't be THAT weird.)

Haley is unisex -- remember Haley Joel Osment? You can still call your bird Haley.
If you want to change his name, I think Frasier and Wesley go together awesomely!
Hope this helps and good luck! :)

This is for naming babies but oh well, this is your baby, haha :)
I think Rio is really cool for a bird, it makes them sound awesome.
Don't use anything you may want to use on a child.
I think Sammy, Sam for short :)

I really like Rio - simply because it doesn't sound like a human name. It's exotic and cute but still short and not drawn out. Good luck choosing!

Personally, I like Halley (pronounced like Hailey with a different spelling) for a boy. It reminds me of the great astronomer Edmond Halley, who has probably the most famous comet named after him, Halley's Comet. It's cool.

I think Rio.
What kind of bird is it?? We have a green amazon parrot named Sqawky, (we don't know if its a he or she) and its the perfect name.
If your bird talks I can just hear him sayin' "come, Rio, come Rio" :)
Good luck! Birds take lots of time, but they are fun!
