  • In Amy Poehler's new book "Yes Please" - Amy writes about Tina Fey's impersonations on Sarah Palin and says that Tina explains it in her book?

..... that Tina explains more about her Sarah Palin impersanations in her boom, Fifty Shades of Grey.

I think that Amy meant to refer to "Bossypants" which is Tina Fey's book. Obviously Tina Fey didn't write Fifty Shades.

So my question is- was this an editing error in Yes Please or is there a joke that I missed out on? Which is totally possible.

Please let me know if you know the answer to this. It's left me very puzzled!

  • Please help us name our bird? Please pick one of the six and explain why you think it's the best… thanks!?

We adopted a bird from a bird rescue, everyone thought the bird was a girl and "her" name was Hailey. We've had "Hailey" for a few weeks now and the DNA test results finally came back with the news that "she" is actually a HE.

So we could continue calling her "Hailey" but it's sort of weird now that we know.

We narrowed name choices down to six:

    -Finn

    -Sam

    -Skyler

    -Rio

    -Wesley

    -Flynn

This bird can live to be about 100 years old so for that reason, we want to make sure we have the BEST name possible chosen for him.

(Finn and Flynn, we just really like those. Sam or Sammy, we had a beloved dog pass away named Sam and we love this name. Skyler, we love as well, plus the bird and sky correlation. Rio is a great name but maybe too overused for birds. Wesley, we love as well.)

Please choose from one our choices (even if you don't like one, just choose the best one from the list) and why and then if you like, please also put your choice of a name for a large, colorful bird.

    Thanks for your help!!! :)

  • When we turn on the A/C, the car starts to overheat... 1999 Dodge Caravan?

Of course we could take it to a mechanic, that's the obvious answer.

Just wondering if perhaps someone is familiar with Dodge vehicles and knows if this problem is a simple fix.

    Thank you so much :)

    Please no rude answers

  • Fan (to cool the engine) seems like it is running continuously. 1999 Dodge Caravan...?

Last night, went to start a 1999 dodge caravan and the battery was dead.

It's since been charged and it seems as if the fan (fuse?) to keep the engine cool is running non-stop.

Besides taking it to a mechanic (obviously) do you know what this problem is?

Please only answer if you have an idea what it might be or have experienced this problem before... thank you for your time! :)

  • Manuscript editing software?

    Hello,

I am looking for manuscript editing software that will allow me to make changes, corrections, recommendations for my colleagues' papers, etc.

Everytime I search for "manuscript editing software" - all I get is a list of websites who offer manuscript editing.

What I am looking for is something that I can use to leave the original Word doc alone and just imput my corrections on top of the original.

Does anyone know of a good program?

Better yet, are there any good apps that I could use for an Android tablet or iPad?

    thanks! :)

  • please help... Twilight Zone or Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode...?

This was in color.... a black man (escape convict) runs to a white lady's house (blond, I think) she had a canary or some bird in a cage..

I really remember this in color and I know it was either the newer TZ or AH presents..

Please help, I'd love to see this episode again. The plot that I remember was exactly that of: "You got to have luck" which is b/w, so it's definitely not the one that I remember watching.

Was there a remake of "You Got to Have Luck" from 1965 (AH presents, season 1) ?

    thank you! :)

  • Please help me discover the name of this older Twilight Zone episode as well as an older b/w horror movie?

Twilight Zone ( I believe this was in color, but still older)

It featured a deaf woman (young lady) who lived alone in a house with a bird in a cage, that she cared for. A man (I think he was an escaped convict) enters the home.

There was something about a radio announcement?

Do you know the name of this episode?

    Older b/w scary movie-

Young girls (I believe 2 or myabe 3) are having a sleepover and they start making prank phone calls. A man answers the call at random and drives over to their house, they are home alone. There's a large barn outside.

This is a well known b/w movie but everyone who I ask about it... knows what I'm talking about but can't recall the name.

Please help > thank you!!!! :)

  • Need ideas on how to cover my fence (from nosy neighbors on the other side)?

I have some nosy neighbors and when we are outside, I see them peeking through the fence (like they think they are invisible). We're new to the neighborhood and when we moved in, we noticed that the fence is receding a bit so it's easy to see through the slats. The house w/ the nosy people is in a way in which is it above our house so their yard is about 6 feet higher than our back yard. So they can see everything....when we eat dinner out there, me watering the plants and I just find it annoying to constantly see someone peeking at me. When I wave at the lady, she just continues to stare.

That being said, what can I do to cover my fence? I was considering climbing ivy but it's kind of expensive and takes a while.

Is there something that I can get at Home Depot or a similar place that is like a tarp for a fence or something?

    Any ideas?

    thank you!!! :)

    please - no nonsense answers...thnx!

  • I used iWeb to make a website...how do I go about publishing it?

I'm kind of new to the world of Mac...but loving it so far

confused on how to publish iWeb websites....the publish button takes me to sign up for MobileMe, which then says that Apple is not taking any new subscriptions...which is fine with me as I don't want to publish through MobileMe or really don't even know what MobileMe is.

I'd like to publish through GoDaddy, which is where I bought my domain. or another domain/hosting company like GatorHost....

can you please explain how I do this?

    thank you!!!

  • I need to build a baby gate for my dogs?

I'd like to know options on how best to build a baby gate for my mischievous dogs

we'd like to have them out in the family room with us but there is no door and they often wonder into other rooms and tear up stuff, get into things, etc...

what is the best way to build something to block off an approx 48 inch wide area...something that is somewhat nice looking and does not have holes like real baby gates do as my dogs can climb those like ladders...I'd also like something that is easy to put away when we are not using it.

can you please recommend materials that would suit this situation the best?

how would we make the gate/partition stay up?

    what's the best solution?

    thank you!!! :)

  • I need to build a baby gate for my dogs?

    hi there,

I have a few mischievous dogs and I would like to have them out in the family room when we're in the family room (they like to run into other rooms and cause trouble, going through stuff, tearing up things and so on) so I'd like to made a "baby gate" so we can enjoy them in the family room with us without constantly wondering what trouble they are causing.

The opening to the room is approx 48 inches wide and I would like an easy (preferably somewhat asethcially pleasing) way to block off the room. It shouldn't have any holes like real baby gates do because two of my dogs can climb those like a ladder.

What material would we need to build something like this? Can I make something that's easy to put away when we are not using it?

What's the best options from people who are used to building things?

    Thank you in advance!
