Need ideas on how to cover my fence (from nosy neighbors on the other side)?

I have some nosy neighbors and when we are outside, I see them peeking through the fence (like they think they are invisible). We're new to the neighborhood and when we moved in, we noticed that the fence is receding a bit so it's easy to see through the slats. The house w/ the nosy people is in a way in which is it above our house so their yard is about 6 feet higher than our back yard. So they can see everything....when we eat dinner out there, me watering the plants and I just find it annoying to constantly see someone peeking at me. When I wave at the lady, she just continues to stare.

That being said, what can I do to cover my fence? I was considering climbing ivy but it's kind of expensive and takes a while.

Is there something that I can get at Home Depot or a similar place that is like a tarp for a fence or something?

Any ideas?

thank you!!! :)

please - no nonsense answers...thnx!

Update:

*not paranoid or psychotic but thanks anyway! thanks also for taking the time to post a nonsense answer!

**fence is already as high as it can be but thank you

If the fence is made of flat boards you could cover the gaps with pieces of trim and then paint the whole thing to match. I have seen a kind of green mesh that people put on chain link fences to add privacy. You could nail on some pieces of thin wood beaded paneling, but I don't know how that would hold up against the whether. Or you could spray her with stinky animal bait when she peeks at you.

I would have thought, that if you had paid for the fence in the first place, then as it is your property, you have the right to take it down to do any repairs needed, if your neighbours have stapled flowers to it the it is they who are committing criminal damage if any, best to go to a citizen advice centre, it is normally free to ask for advice, good luck

I'd go with hedges. You can buy them already grown and they require little maintenance. Or for a quick fix, you can buy a gazebo. Kind of expensive, but it'll take care of your problem. If I were you, I'd stay indoors, why would she keep staring? Maybe she's a psycho! Be careful!
