Horse poll for equestrians, anyone?
This is a poll just for fun. Even if you don't own/lease a horse, you can still do it about a horse you know! :)
How many horses do you have?
What are their names?
What breed are they?
What colour are they?
Do they have a specific discipline? (Jumping, cross country, dressage, etc.)
How old are they?
How long have you had them for?
English or Western?
Do they board or live with you?
Do you keep them outside, inside or alter between them?
Extra: What do you plan to do with them for the holidays?
1. I don't own any horses, but I ride at the local stable.
2. I ride a horse called Frosty, and his name suites him well!
3. He's an Appaloosa cross Welsh.
4. A reddish chestnut with a black mane and Snowflake patterns on his hindquarters.
5. Not really, but I plan to start getting into jumping with him.
6. He is 6 years old, nearly 7.
7. I've been riding him for almost a year.
8. I've only ever ridden English but Western looks like a lot of fun!
9. He lives at my trainer's stables with a bunch of other horses.
10. He's usually in his paddock for most of the day, but during storms or really cold nights I take him into his stall.
E: My trainer is going away for the holidays so I won't be able to see him for about six weeks, but I'm going to a riding camp with friends so that should be fun!
Here's my boy :3

How many horses do you have? I own 2.
What are their names? Rags and Ursula
What breed are they? Appaloosa and Shire/Thoroughbred cross respectively.
What colour are they? Rags is bay with a small, left, hind sock (no appaloosa pattern) and Ursula is black with 4 socks and a blaze.
Do they have a specific discipline? Rags is a hunter. Ursula is an all-around English horse. I plan to start dressage and jumping lessons with her in the spring and possibly delve into eventing with her.
How old are they? Rags is 23 and Ursula is 8.
How long have you had them for? I have had Rags for about 8 or 9 years and Ursula for about 4 years.
English or Western? English, though Rags has competed and shown in western pleasure and western riding.
Do they board or live with you? I keep them on my grandparents' farm. My family has six other horses there and we all share the responsibility of caring for them, so it's not really boarding. The property is more mine than that, but it's not really mine either.
Do you keep them outside, inside or alter between them? Both. They have stalls and get 12 hour turnout daily, depending on the weather and the time of year.
Extra: What do you plan to do with them for the holidays? I am making homemade peppermint horse cookies to give to them!

1. How many horses do you have?
I have one at the moment.
2. What are their names?
Shiro Dusk.
3. What breed are they?
Andalusian.
4. What colour are they?
Grey.
5. Do they have a specific discipline? (Jumping, cross country, dressage, etc.)
Not really, Shiro is what I call a "general purpose horse", which means they are an all round horse I guess. :)
6. How old are they?
10 years.
7. How long have you had them for?
6 months.
8. English or Western?
English, although I would love to do Western!
9. Do they board or live with you?
Shiro lives with me.
10. Do you keep them outside, inside or alter between them?
I keep Shiro outside, even when it rains so long as it's not stormy weather, then I would bring Shiro into a stall. There's a shelter in her paddock, and I prefer that animals live naturally, so I would rather have her in a paddock as much as possible. :)
11. Extra: What do you plan to do with them for the holidays?
Just the normal things, if you know what I mean. :D
Merry Christmas! :)
