Is it okay to have a constant supply of worms for my fish?

I got a bunch of live worms from my trusted LPS and put them in a feeder. I use them to condition my two bettas for breeding, and I occasionally feed them to my goldfish.

My question is, is it bad with having a constant supply of live worms in a tank? The worms are currently in a holder/feeder in my fry tank and the guppy and molly fry love them. But they're constantly eating and getting a bit plump, and also I'm sure there's something wrong with having live worms in the tank 24/7..

PS the worms are part of a diet of flakes, pellets, a home-made gel food and freeze-dried tubifex worms (weekly) for my fish, so the worms aren't the only food.

Thanks in advance :)

It depends on the type of worms they are!

If you just leave worms in your fry tank the dead worms will cause your water parameters to spike! Unless they are getting eaten completely!

If you want to just put worms in your tank without thinking about your water parameters spiking put plants and a drift wood where you put your worms! This will

Also be good for your fry! But all in all worms are a very good diet for your fishes!

    Goodluck
