i can only help on the second question because i think there are some symbols or values left out of question one.
y=0.9x^3+4.9x^2+0.5x+14.4
when x= 7
answer = 566.7 --- soo NO
y=0.9x^3-4.9x^2+0.5x+14.4
when x = 7
answer = 86.5 close but NO
y=1.0x^3-4.9x^2-0.9x+17.5
when x = 7
answer = 114.1 --------NO
y=0.9x^3-4.8x^2+1.2x+15.0
when x = 7
answer = 96.9 - Closest so YES
check
when x = 5
answer = 13.5 - Close so Yes
