If Republican ideas are so good why do they need to hinder the voting rights of 21 million American citizens?

or 11% of the population: http://www.brennancenter.org/publication/challenge...

And that's just from the voter ID laws. That doesn't even include long lines or Rick Scott's "purges" of "non-citizens" (who, conviently, are mostly black and hispanic and vote Democrat).

Florida: "Voter suppression was rampant in Florida during the 2012 election. More than 50,000 people were unable to vote due to long precinct lines and arbitrary disqualifications. About 1,400 voters had their ballots thrown out by election officials due to claims that their signatures on the ballots didn’t match those on file."

"Two former Republican leaders in Florida subsequently admitted that their party’s efforts to limit voter fraud were really about preventing Democrats from getting to the polls on Election Day. Indeed, about 60% of voters discouraged by the long precinct lines in Florida would have voted Democratic, according to Ohio State University professor Theodore Allen."

If Democrats said you can only buy a gun one day out of the year and had to wait 6 hrs in line only to find out that the governor has arbitrarily declared you a felon (and thus ineligible to buy guns, and would have to wait another 4 years), there would be assassinations.

People always ask me for proof of my claims, so I have provided it

Are you kidding? Illegals are just that, illegal; and should not have the right to vote. This is the United States of North America, and Black United States citizens have resolved their voting issues with no problems in getting identification to vote.

We have three countries on this continent, so though Canada and Mexico are considered American they are separate countries from the United States.

Most Americans despise Republicans. That is why dog poop is more popular than our Republican Congress. In fact, the only reason why Republicans control Congress is due to gerrymandering. Democrats won the popular vote by 1.4 million.

Republicans are threatened by this, so they attack voting rights. All evidence shows that voter impersonation, which Republicans are going after is virtually nonexistent.

Republicans are not going after voting impersonation, they are going after women, minorities, the poor and students since they know that curbing their Constitutional right to vote will benefit them. Unfortunately, Conservatives have a long history of attacking anyone who is not white and male. Their bigotry refuses to die off.

  • What Republican ideas? I have not heard an original idea Republican or Tea Party idea espoused in 13 years.

If you don't have an ID, you are most likely an illegal. If they had a job, they are getting paid under the table and avoiding taxes. These people should not be allowed to vote

lmfao...clearly this is a pot calling the kettle black situation. have you forgotten about the LIBERAL voter intimidation from the new black panthers that holder refused to prosecute and Obama gave a pass to? simply put, voters in philly shouldn't be approached and intimidated from people with batons regardless of race. the point being here, it happens on both.

A lot of places, they don't want you to vote, if you could not have voted in 1859.

Illegals don't have the right to vote, LIEberals don't have the right to vote more than once per election.

Republicans do better when less people vote.

Because they aren't interested in a democracy.
