If you run for cover you avoid confrontation from your actions, to face the music normally is facing whatever it is that you have caused, to stand up and face the music means you will take the consequences for your actions rather than hide from them!

In other words it is saying, "Don't make waves". It is rare to find people that Stand Up for what is right and as it were "face the music". It is the chicken way out to hide and run from problems.

I think of Christ Jesus as the best example of Standing Up to others and not running away or hiding! Just read the gospel accounts and you will see many examples.

It simply means that people can be of two kind. One are those who fight for their rights, who try again and again until things are in their favor. Those are the people who have the courage to change the destiny. Another category is of those people who always try to run away from their problems. Such kind of people are not able to achieve anything.
