Camper Clubs pros and cons?

We purchased an RV/ Camper last year and just love getting away on the weekends to different places. A few camp grounds stated they accept camper club discounts. Anyone have history with these? Are they worth it? What are the pros and cons?

    We have joined one for a time. The membership MAY have paid for itself as we travel for a couple thousand miles and could schedule the trip to stay in the right campgrounds. You have to figure out if those campgrounds that give the discounts are where you'll be staying. Most of the time they are not even close to being a good financial deal for us..
