how to handle this friend?
Me and my friend were having a joking argument and she said her dad that is Italian and in the mafia could kill me. I finding know what to say to that cuz it made me mad and I'm almost positive she has no idea as to what she's talking about but everyone thinks a lot of their dad and who am i to take that away by calling bs. Her husband says he's "legit". But her cousin told me it's bs. she had said this about her dad countless times and it annoys me and makes me wanna just tell her to bring him on. I've seen pics of him and he looks normal and like a joke. I just don't wanna lose friends over it. What can i do or say to her next time?

If I were you, I'd look for someone else to be friends with, because: A) If her threats were genuine, which I doubt, and she would even consider arranging any harm to you, this is not a friend, nor a safe person to be involved with; or B), her conversation and threats are idiotic, boring and stupid. You can do better in the friend department than this.

First of all, I'd suggest you casually cut her off & find new friends, because lying & threatening isn't what a good friend would do. Secondly, if she threatens you again just sarcastically say 'alright then, go for it' in a casual tone & have fun while watching her struggle to respond. Good luck! :)
