CAT DOESN'T WANT TO EAT OR DRINK FOR ALMOST A WEEK NOW. HELP PLEASE.?

My cat doesn't want to eat or drink for days now. Already took him to the vet and had an injection but still, no improvement. He's getting very very skinny and I'm so worried. What should I do?

He needs to be syringe fed. Call the vet and see if they have any foods designed for that - there are several. If you can't get one, then go to the drug store and ask for an oral syringe. Get a 5 ml one of they have them, otherwise a 3 ml will have to work. Get several. Get some chicken baby food - the kind that is sold in the small jars. Mix it with some water to make it a bit thinner. Suck it up in the syringe, and gently squirt it in his mouth. Feed him several syringes, several times a day. He does need a follow up vet appointment though - he's going to go into liver failure soon from not eating. Good luck with him!

Did your vet take any blood to run blood tests on your cat? Was any other diagnostic work done? Take your cat back to the vet and tell the vet your cat is still not eating. If diagnostic testing wasn't done, then it probably will be necessary to do diagnostic tests to figure out the cause of your cat's problem so it can be treated.

Don’t use capital letters for your question…it’s like you’re screaming and it sounds obnoxious so you won’t get many answers.

And using words like “HELP” and “PLEASE” are just annoying.

Your cat had an “injection”…an injection of what?

You don’t offer enough details for people to help you.

    How old is your cat?

A sick or old cat would stop eating (getting very skinny…duh!) and would stop drinking, but before he dies of painful thirst, allow him the privilege of being euthanized so he can be put to sleep and die peacefully, unlike humans (unless you live in Holland).

Then you deal with his loss without making him suffer any longer.
