What type of rock is this?

Is it igneous or sedimentary? Please explain why. If you know the type of each (i.e.plutonic,volcanic), please say so.

    Very hard to tell by the picture, but my guess would be quartzite.

    Its very unlikely that its igneous. If it was it would be volcanic. It's most likely sedimentary, some variety of sandstone, could be dolostone but looks too granular. It's probably sandstone.

    I don't think it is either. I believe it is a metamorphic rock. I have seen it before, but forgot what it is called.
