I'm not a huge Katy Perry fan but I like this song and video . I think that they did very well with it especially the gay message in it .. I like it alot ..

at the 1:10min, the melody on that one is just faster than the one in "dark horse"

ooooohhh man it's been driving me crazy too!!! thanks.....I also thought it was used back in the 90's by an R&B group Night+Day but I couldn't find anything on them. I thought it was a lost cause

I have no doubt that the song sounds familiar to you (musicians often copy the elements of other songs), but there is no other song "sampled" on Dark Horse.
