Army DEP...enrolled in class at college?

The situation is that I recently swore into DEP at MEPS, but the problem is that I'm currently enrolled into my next semester of college. I was planning on this being my last before going. I didn't realize til later, but my recruiter told me to lie about my college and just say I wasn't enrolled anymore, just to get me to enlist I guess. The problem is that I wanted a later ship date, which is currently May 19. They made it seem like I would not be able to come back later at all. My classes don't end until like a week before I leave. This is going to be completely stressful and won't give me any time to tie up loose ends or get situated. Is there any way I can push my ship date back?

Update:

Thanks everyone.

"Coastie mom," I'm not asking for opinions, and really, does it matter if you believe it or not? The question is if I can push the ship date back, not a persuasive sob story. I said he told me to not say anything about school, obviously so he would push me to enlist, and I agreed with it for whatever reason at that moment because he made it seem like I wouldn't be able to join at all. Due to hindsight, I realize the ridiculousness. Loose ends would be something like a 3-year old family member with lung cancer, other family/school related issues. Thanks for your answer anyway. Plus, I never said anything about it interfering with school, did i?

I don't believe for a minute your recruiter told you to lie. What would the point be to that?? They would encourage you to finish your semester and go at whatever date would help you complete that. But you do say your ship date is a week AFTER you finish classes. So then it truly isn't interfering with your classes. What loose ends have to be tied up? There is always something that will have to be tied up. Finish your classes, go to boot. You can ask to switch your ship date but they can say no or they can push it back so far you'll have to find other employment in the meantime. Just take what you are given and roll with it. If it was during the semester, I would say you need to get a new ship date but it isn't, it's after class so just deal.
