Computer DC Jack repair?
Okay so the dc jack on my asus h53e won't detect the charger and charge my laptop, so I am going in tomorrow to get it looked at.. Would I be wasting my money getting it fixed thru say best buy, or is it a really easy fix that I could do myself?

the part is anything from $5 to $30, the labour cost is what is the most, it's probably going to cost ontop of the parts cost $45-$100 depending on the amount of work involved taking the laptop apart and putting it back together again, and which place you go to get it fixed.
i wouldnt go to best buy to get it fixed, call around some Laptop Repair (not computer, make sure they are Laptop) places and phone them up and ask for a quote to get the DC jack replacement.

I've resoldered one before ...not hard if you got a good how to guide to taking apart.i like ifixi website
