Liberal and conservative would you out a person at work who was hiding their illiteracy?

Why would it be wrong or right to do so? What would be your reasons for outing or not outing them?

Mind you I AM NOT talking of people who don't understand the language, but adults who cannot read. Assuming that they got someone else to fill out their application.

Update:

Bill, who cares if they make dumb political statements as long as they are on break. You are not answering my question.

Update 2:

Yet the janitor has to be careful of warning labels.

Update 3:

Would you feel guilty, considering it was hard for them to get a job at all

Update 4:

From LiveScience:

"More than 1 million people lost their jobs in 2008 and the new unemployment figures are the highest in 16 years," Harvey said. "A large number of the unemployed are low-skilled individuals who struggle with everyday reading, writing and math tasks. The administration wants to create new jobs with the stimulus packages, but to take advantage of those new positions, these adults need basic literacy skills."

Some of these people are the same ones demanding $15hr. I'd welcome that pay increase to be used to catch these folks up.

If they are producing. and Are a solid contributor. Why would you.

If they are wanting to improve and would like to learn beyond functional

Illiteracy. Help them to get to a remedial training facility.

It would depend on how much reading/writing is a prat of the job. I probably wouldn't worry too much for the janitor, but other it could be important. Some jobs it would be very difficult to hide.

There would be absolutely no need to. If they were productive.

Did their job well. Showed up on time. Worked with limited

    supervision.

But as Fan said, If they wanted to better themselves. Provide

the aid and tools to do so. That is being a good neighbor

    and Co worker.

It is better to keep your mouth shut and let everyone think you a fool. Opening your mouth lets everyone know that you are a fool. A. Lincoln said something like that.

To answer your question then I will tell you that I have worked many types of jobs in my life and in my opinion the libs mumble incoherently and the cons speak sense.

Does being literate directly affect them doing their job?? if it does then yes the boss needs to know an employee is incapable of performing the job they were hired for.

  • I someone had the brains to feign literacy where I work, I wouldn't be the one to out them. I know enough literate idiots already to keep me busy outing them.

Most liberals are uneducated and not very bright. They tend to "out" themselves through ill-timed moronic political statements.

I'd rather offer to teach this person to read.
